Why We Chose Stainless Steel Wine Tumblers Over Glass

Every ALDREN set comes with two stainless steel tumblers instead of wine glasses. The reason goes back to a family picnic, a bag full of broken glass and a father and daughter who decided there had to be a better way.

A Picnic That Didn't Go as Planned

It was supposed to be a simple afternoon: a blanket, good food and a bottle of wine. The wine traveled in one bag, the corkscrew and glasses in another. By the time we found a spot to sit, the glasses hadn’t survived the trip. Somewhere between laughing and picking up the pieces, André and his daughter Emanuelle started asking the question that became ALDREN: why isn’t there one bag that carries everything?

Why Stainless Steel Makes Sense Outdoors

Glass is beautiful at the dinner table, but it’s fragile in a tote, on a rocky beach or at a tailgate. That’s why we chose 12 oz stainless steel tumblers with lids. They’re durable, easy to pack, and the lids help keep leaves and bugs out of your wine. They also travel neatly: the tumblers fit upside down over the bottle necks, and the lids go in the front pocket.

One Bag, Everything Inside

From there, the rest of the set came together. The ALDREN insulated wine tote has three layers of insulation to help keep pre-chilled wine cool and removable dividers for up to three 750 ml bottles. Inside you’ll find a waiter’s corkscrew and two bottle stoppers, so an open bottle can travel home too. A padded handle, an adjustable shoulder strap and mesh side pockets make it easy to carry.

Made for the Moments That Matter

We designed ALDREN for vineyard walks, beach sunsets, park picnics and tailgates, and for the gift you give the friend who always brings the wine. Every set arrives in a premium gift box, ready to give. From our family to yours: cheers.
